ESD workplace mats
ESD is the abbreviation for "Electro Static Discharge", i.e. electrostatic discharge, and is caused by the charge exchange between two bodies with different voltage potentials. Electrostatic charge can cause high voltages in modern work areas. Depending on the humidity, this can result in very different stress levels.
ESD can cause an electrical overload in electronic assemblies and thus lead to immediate failures or cause previous damage that results in failures during operation.
